"Not saying you don't like something and then not doing anything about it." The entire week post reveal/pre hashtag was us doing something about it! How dare you ignore our actions like that!

Yet what response did MS give those people? Hell, other than Major Nelson giving you a "We hear you", what else have you gotten?

I'm not even going to bother because last week we were just haters and should wait for E3 and stop whining. Now not only were we not whining, but it was someone else who gave us the idea to whine. I also remember, not even a week ago people saying that Sony is just going to do the same DRM thing anyway. Now they aren't and I guess that has nothing to do with #PS4NoDRM.

Twitter blew up because of #PS4NoDRM, not XBox gamers on XBox.com. Want to see how I know I am right? Go google and let me know how many articles you find related to Anti-DRM that doesn't pertain to #PS4NoDRM. You would have known this if you followed the news. It even made NBC, lol!

You know what though, i'll let you win this round if you promise to stick to one stance next time. The flip flopping is killing me.

It really is tough for you to give Sony or their fans any sort of credit. I can see it. This whole ordeal is eating you up inside.

Edit - I am also not saying that neither knew anything about it, but at that point the message was so minor that neither side even bothered to acknowledge it. As I said originally, I know all sides were upset, but it wasn't until the Sony fans made a humongous stink about it that it got noticed by not only the companies, but by the media as well. It only took a few hours before #PS4NoDRM went viral.

At the core, I just want it acknowledged that Xbox fans were among those outraged by the reveal. Just because its easy to spot the ones rationalizing cause they stick out like a sore thumb, doesn't mean that is the fans in their entirety. Most were part of the initial mob that cried out everywhere. That's all.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Outwardly, maybe. But it was apparently enough that Sony internally decided to drop their DRM plans. It was famousmortimer on GAF who passed this bit of information along and started the Twitter campaign while everyone was emboldened in the face of Sony's apparent retreat.

Still, it's beyond silly to pretend that Xbox fans drove this until Sony fans jumped on the bandwagon or whatever.

Everyone already know that there are XBox fans upset with it, that goes without saying. It would totally unnatural for gamers on the XBox to not be upset about their consumer right and property rights being neglected like that.

What I am saying is that those who are easy to spot and stick out like a sore thumb and get noticed are the ones at the end of the day who get credited for bringing (hopefully) change.

In this case it was the PS camp. Their words are loud enough to speak for us all and I for one am very thankful that everyone went as far as they did.

I know plenty of Xbox only owners who are totally against drm so I don't know whee this 100% comes from.

Jesus sales, you really need to get out more. As a PC/xbox gamer, you really are doing nothing much other than embarrassing our glorious userbase. I thought I didn't like Sony fans, but you really are bringing out the worst in a word "fan" regardless of allegience.

That is because you can't give credit to the "worst fanbase" of them all. Everyone knows their fans are terrible.

Thank god not all xbox fans are like the ones here on vgchartz with their '' who cares I buy my games new anyway'' attitude, I hope that DRM bullshit doesn't spread to the other consoles

Yeah, I was. I meant that I don't see a lot of, "It sucks and I'll complain about it, but I know I'm gonna buy it anyway." A lot of people genuinely don't seem to see the downside of it, or maybe as Goatseye says, they are just strangely reluctant to admit it in mixed company.
