Yup, am getting a Nyko one myself as soon as they're available in the UK.

Last time I got wii remote batteries, I bought Nyko and they only lasted a little over a year. It will feel good to have reliable ones for a change.

What's the charge time for the Wii Remote cradle? My rechargeable batteries take 15 minutes...

quality wii mote battery packs are welcome here. But before anyone throws away their old double batteries listen to this one giant flaw in all wiimote batt pack designs. The batter is part of the cover. Which means that little red button in the back is not accessible with the battery pack in. So if you go to your friends house to play some smash bros, or nba jam and have to sync your wiimote; you have to put AA batteries in the wiimote, sync it, and then put the batt pack in. Very annoying. on a wii-u note, I've had my ps3 for over a year now, and i don't think i've filled up 3gigs of space, except with demos i just eventually delete. I really hope they keep the 8 gig around as it could have the lowest price point the soonest. I'm down for adding storage as you need it, and hard drives really aren't that much nowadays.

Yeah, tough call. Quality matters with this kind of battery. A poor quality one can die early or even catch fire.
Still, that Nyko one holds way more juice, so I think I'll risk it.

You do notice that the cover includes the sync button outside, so you can press it while the battery pack is in. Heck even the sleeve has an orifice for said button. I think they do the same with the WiiU's remotes. (My own battery cover has the same solution and works fine).

That could be the only issue. But how is Nyko's track record with batteries? Has there been any 3DS lit on fire?

Googling "nyko battery fire" only turns up sales for Kindle Fire batteries, so we are go for Nyko!

So does Nintendo plan on giving us more Wii U colors, or is it just boring old B n W only?
What's the word on the Nyko battery anyway? Is it actually getting released anytime soon? If not, that Nintendo battery is tempting...

That is the one change I see as far more likely. My only thought is that Smash has been in work potentially longer. I mean we've heard about it and its connection to 3DS way before a new Mario. However, since this was drafted (if real) its just as plausible that things changed and resources shifted to move up the Mario game and push back the Smash game(s) as they decided they wanted to ensure 3DS and WiiU versions launched together. (notice this list doesn't have 3DS version) Personally I'm betting we get a MarioKart and Mario game this holiday. |
I'm not too sure SSB4 has been in the works longer than Mario 3D U... They hadn't even started on SSB4 back in E3 2011, while Mario might have been in development since Galaxy 2, or at least since SM3DL. But I agree; Kart and Mario this holiday are more reasonable.

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
