Yes or No.

Microsoft have said that you shouldn't be concerned about there being minimal gameplay at this conference, it'll all be at E3. I've seen lots of forum posts defending this view. Is that the majority?

they said they had 15 now sony which was going to show 10 will show 20.  i believe they deliver the games thats not the issue. what the games are is.  im fine with full kinect games. (2 or 3 kinect sports, dance central, ryse) xbla games while great they should be able to do better than that after 2 years of doing much of nothing.

since they're bringing xbox to the living room i hope theyre thinking about the family and bring the banjos out of retirement.

Theres a few other ips they should bring out of retirement. Killer Instinct, Conker, Perfect Dark, Kameo are some that havent been active in a long time.

^ this.  not only the dude bros but the kidcos and their baby mommas as well

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I don't care if Master Chief and Marcus Fenix are teaming up in a game to destroy every Reaper in the universe.

I will not buy their shitty DRM console and neither should anyone with a shred of common sense.

My feeling is that this conference showed their strategy outright. A box for your living room that does everything. Games aren't a high priority, and those that do exist will be a series of quick-time events and cutscenes to be as close to a movie as possible.

You say 'E3 is for games' but do you not remember MS conferences past? The mainstream media still watch it, half the show will again be turned over to non-games. The "15 exclusives" will be true for the first year of Wii U but no one would say it's a great year for them.

Its been pretty apparent there heading in that direction for a few years now. All in one multimedia box and mainstream games(shooters, racing, sports, which is why EA is a perfect fit for them) is there main focus.

There will be lots of awesome games. I have no doubt about that. The game industry probably loves the Xbox One.

It's a shame that you won't be able to own any of them though, so it will all be pointless.

What? It's true, the majority doesn't defend this view.

Some people actually read the first post, not just the thread title.

It is more about posting more than just "no" - leave it to the poll to say just "no".

I don't think so because MS has disoppointed me many times at E3 in the past, but I'm ready to be blown away.

Worst case scenario is this:

Out of those "15 exclusives in first year of Xbox One",

2 might be postponed (Black Tusk's game) or canceled altogether (MS LA)
5 might be Kinect games (Ryse, family games by Rare, Connected experiences and others)
2 might be Digital download/Live Arcade titles
2 might be timed third party exclusives (Remedy's Quantum Break & Respawn's Titan)
4 might be AAA first party exclusives (Forza 5, Fable and Rare core IP during launch window, and Halo 5 not until in late 2014)

Out of which the "8 new IP" might be,

Remedy's Quantum Break
Respawn's Titan
Black Tusk Studio's shooter/zombie game
MS studios LA's cinematic game
Ryse
MS Connected experience's social Kinect game
Kinect family game
Live Arcade title by small studio
