im sure he can take the heat, but the negativity on this site is just borderline annoying. 

@OP : im glad these changes are happening. its getting annoying with all these people complaining about the bans and how the mod team is bais with one company (apperantly MS now?) may i ask though, if there is an issue i want to discuss about the mod/site, for example marucha's thread a while back. how should one go on about that? should we PM axum or anymod and ask for a greenlight about the thread? or should be no thread at all?

I... I don't even know what to say to this.

1. We've been patient and open and have allowed open constructive criticism of the mod team.
I think you guys are doing a great job! It seems to me you're all a bunch of "fanboys" according by other fanboys, and you're apparently fanboys of multiple companies if certain users here (in the forums, no this thread) are to be trusted. Keep up the good work you guys! Seriously.

2. The general negativity on the site in all forms (people wanting to play the victim, pointless taunting, hit-and-run posts that are borderline) is driving away a lot of good posters and activity.
True dat! I've posted less and less myself because of all the negativism, and know of more people. I hope you guys can manage to bring this under control!

3. Taunting banned members may result in moderation.
I have taken notice and will stop.

I think this is necessary changes, and I welcome them!!

Its not once a Month, its all Month.

The mod thread doesnt get locked after a day, does it? As long as its open its viable to post about the moderation.

Great stuff guys. My last ban really made me introspect and I hope the harshness will only make this place better.

Also, I'm planning on posting some lectures on trolling, I'm hoping they will help us get out of the witch-hunt mindset, I am hoping to roll them out in Q3 2018.

Actually my decline comes about less than a year E3. I still lurk, just nothing ever interests me in this forum. The great users that put in energy are really gone. You have people who use to be great, being overtly negative, and claiming to be unbiased. People leaving doesn't happen over night, unless they request a ban. It takes them few weeks, few months. Hell maybe a year. MUGEN was borderline leaving for a year now from where I was standing. 

Updates #3 and #6 are obvious, and I'm surprised it even needs to be mentioned. Updates #4 & #5 were long overdue, so thanks for tackling those issues.

I hope Update #2 does not impact posts that contain legitimate negative criticisms of a product or brand.

And as for Update #1, can't say I agree with this. In fact, it seems like an attempt to sweep criticisms of the mod team under the rug. There have been a few recent user bans that have left a lot of people questioning why that user got banned (The little blurb placed in the banned user's profile is sometimes not sufficient). There have also been some recent posts that appear to be ban worthy, but the mods take no action. I rarely report posts to the moderators, but when I do, and no action is taken, I'm left wondering why the user was not moderated. Now you're saying that we can't ask these questions in the forum unless it's in the dedicated mod performance thread or easily ignorable PMs?
