I don't own a Wii U yet, but if they can get their shit together with their core franchises (to me, those are 3D Mario, Zelda, Starfox and Metroid) then I'll be a happy Wii U owner soon enough.

Im in the same boat as you, im willing to spend $200-250 on Nintendo consoles for 3D Mario/Zelda/Smash/Metroid. Those 4 games are enough for me to buy there console, everything else that comes out on it is just icing on the cake.

I'd buy the Wii U at its current price for Bayonetta 2, Yarn Yoshi, and Monolith Soft's X.

I think that's exactly what Nintendo wants to do. "It worked for the 3DS, why not Wii U?" is what they might be thinking.

They didn't only have Mario Kart and 3D Land though ;o. Another 30-40% price cut combined with those games might do it 

I see no need for a price drop.

3DS released way over the price of previous nintendo handhelds.

$250 - $300 is always a good home console launch price.

I think WiiU's current sales should be some small hint of it being too expensive for most people. Don't get me wrong, games will surely boost it, but will it be a sustained and big enough of a boost without the price cut?


WiiU's current situation is because of lack of software and marketing.

Besides, isn't being sold at a small loss anyways? I'm confident they won't cut the price.

I can even edit, and I'm guessing post new threads aswell, all of which can't be done on my computer, only PS3. My life just got 0.00000001% easier, woot!

You'll be surprised how many people think its overpriced and waiting for a price drop and a combination of games and bundles.

I dont think the Wii-U is overpriced but I would love it to be cheaper, but that is just my opinion.

I wonder if they will just make a big e3 nintendo direct video... bomb after bomb... I mean by the games we know it might look like this
mario olimpics -> wiifitU -> TW101 -> mario golf -> mario party -> pikmin -> sonic lost world -> mario U -> mario kart U -> SMTxFE -> mario and luigi dream team -> Yoshi 3ds -> yarn yoshi -> smash -> pokemon -> zelda 3ds -> zelda WW -> X -> retro -> 2 or three more unannaounced games...
That is a huge list and that is not even including 3rd party games (not expecting many to be honest, maybe ubisoft time, disney time, WB time, capcom time). If they dedicate at least 5 minutes per game, we are looking at almost a 2 hours show... My body is not ready for such a show...

Sonic is third party, though the mix up is very understandable hehe. And yeah definitely can't wait to see all them games, but what I really can't wait for is being able to play them! ^_^
