The first Yakuza came out in Japan on December 8, 2005. originally, Toshihiro Nagoshi said that the series would stay exclusive to PS. We can assume he has fallen on hard times, so its understandable that he has to pay bills.

I guess Sony and Nintendo made some deal to have it ported it over to Wii U? Even though I'm not longer a Nintendo supporter, It's good to seem them change things up a bit and and obtain more mature games because the Wii U isn't doing so well and they need all the variety of games they can get.

It's very odd though. Of all the game to be ported who would've have thought Yakuza 1 and 2. I guess it's only the 1st two games that will be ported and Japan only.

I guess they used the cheapest method possible to get the franchise on the platform and will judge the future of the series based on the sales of the HD collection.
30-40k lifetime probably.
