Forums - Nintendo - EA tells Kotaku that it has zero titles in development for the Wii U

Tagged games:

Amazing to see half the people miss the point entirely.

No EA support = Impending doom of console from business perspective.

"I don't like EA games"....So what, it's not about you and you're whimsical hate for EA. (shouting generally at most people in thread).

Look at mass effect 2 on the ps3, it was one year late, full price. you could get mass effect 1 and 2 on the 360 for the same price, yet it sold 1.25mill compared to 2.99mill on the 360, Mass effect 3 on the wii U will take forever to crawl to 100k. They in the video games business to make money, not to please fans that won't buy their games no matter what

Reminds me of this thread I made http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=122187

So the Mass Effect 3 and 'value' excuses on WiiU hold no weight.

Yup, but of course your post and mine will be ignored

Nope, I'm the only one who gets ignored around here! :L

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

ea can suck weegee's cock...

oh sorry....
yeah i wanna know what happened

Looks like Ubisoft will be filling that void, and there's nothing EA makes that interests me as a gamer anyhow. More Sims or Madden regurgitation? No thanks.

Guess this confirms that we'll be getting Super Mario Strikers 3, and who knows, Nintendo may even make Mario (American) Football lol.

NEWSFLASH....... I have zero dollars budgeted for any new EA games for my 3DS/iPad/PC/PS3/PS4/Vita/Xbox 360/Xbox Infinity.

Stop hating and start playing.

Nintendo fans are no Playstation fans who eat whatever 3rd parties throw at them aka CoD Declassified on Vita (2nd best selling game on the platform), horrible ports like in case of Skyrim and most 3rd party games in general.

neither EA support nor any 3rd party support is crucial for Nintendo success and never was if they they survived betrayal by Square, Enix and Capcom they can certainly flourish without EA mess.

Just what the hell happened between EA and Nintendo?..Do you guys think this is only because of Origin?...I'm not sure I buy that idea, there's something else there.

Fifa 72k: it was really FIFA 12 with a roster update

ME3 52k: Launched a week after ME Trilogy on 360/PS3/PC at the same price and it lacked DLC support

Madden 32k:Madden 12 with a roster update, lacked the all new physics engine.

NFS 22k: Superior port to the PS3/360 version, lacks DLC Support, launched 5 months late

Yeah, EA really went all in

Have they ever tried?  EA lineups are for console launches are usually full of old ports of their annual games.  People seem to be living in a fantasy world where EA is picking on Nintendo specifically.

Madden '06 360, 3 months late and lacking content.  Sold as much in the 360's US launch month as the entire Wii U EA catalog has worldwide in about five months.

And that explains ME3 how?

unless ps3 had a 0 install base at the time and mass effect 1 and 2 collection were released a week before on xbox360 and pc, it's nowhere near the same situation. but nice try anyway

That sucks I am actually enjoying Henry Hatsworth right now and I could only imagine how great it would have been on the Wii U. Guess I might have to wait on that and another boom blox but I wont hold my breath.

It doesn't really matter, they can't stop what's going to happen. Everybody will be laughing at their faces after the holidays, once the WiiU booms after it's first & second party mass selling AAA title onslaught coming later this year, as well as it's few but mass selling casual titles too, while they will be trying to sell their "next gen" games on consoles that won't even have enough quantities available or low enough price to sell at quantities that will allow EA or anyone to make any money out of them until the holidays next year.
As for me, I don't care about their games. I've never bought any EA game in my life. But I still acknowledge their importance in selling consoles to many "mass market gamers" who don't know much else about really good games and buy the same game year after year with some minor updates. But then again those are more likely to buy any other company's console, or even smartphones instead and play them there anyway.
