Next step track down and overtake the Wii in total sales. In 2 or 3 years time the PS3 will overtake the Wii and it will be crowned 7th generation console sales winner.

Hey 8.5 million was not a bad prediction with the rate VGC was tracking GT5. How am I suppose to know that VGC will suddenly make a 1.5 million adjustment up? With the way VGC had it tracked, it wouldn't have sold much more then what I predicted.

Plus the game had stronger legs then any previous GT game. That was unexpected.

I know a lot of people were critisizing VGC numbers 3 years ago, but to be honest it just sounded like wishful thinking at the time. If I believed everything Sony fans say then I would have been very shocked when PS3 didn't beat 360 in sales by 2008.

Plus, it's not like I wasn't the only one to underball this game, and I can admit to being wrong

Microsoft has no games and no gimmick to fight back with this year. Sony will close it out for sure this year. I dont know if the score it is that close but even but this year its done. Microsoft has no cheap tricks left, Sony is burning them with good old game development and value.

Except for the rumored $99 Xbox360 (if it doesnt have a subscription service) <-- if this comes out I'll be getting one.

Microsoft has had very little esclusive content for 3 years, yet it's still been able to put up a good fight.

Also isn't there a rumor that Forza Motorsport 5 is releasing for the 360 this fall as well? Anyway it's irrelevent, PS3 will manage to outsell the 360, but at a cost to profit. MS made I believe 6x as much as Sony with the 360, so both systems are successful in one way or another.

Except Nintendo is the most successful, they had the most sales and the most profit. Since it's mostly their games that sell well on Wii, Nintendo is just raking in double XP.
