Actually Ubisoft makes console, Windows PC, broswer, handheld and mobile games, but that's not the point. The chart posted in this thread is only about best selling franchises from 2005-2012 on stationary gaming systems. i.e. thread title is misleading.

I don't know if Mario & Sonic at the Olympics is included with 'Mario' or with 'Sonic' though. I'm guessing the latter since that would explain how Sonic even makes the top 20.

No, they didn't. As far as we know, they include every single game with Mario in its title. If you look at VgChartz data, it doesn't matter whether they included Mario Kart or not, COD would still outsell it.
