It's actually WWE and its not. Just goes to show how the titles on the top completely dominate the market.

They counted 'Mario' and 'Mario Kart' seperately, for some reason.

I take it the Mario entry includes NSMB, 3D Mario and Mario Party. But I agree, either split the franchise up into all of it's different series, or really count it as one. I don't know if Mario & Sonic at the Olympics is included with 'Mario' or with 'Sonic' though. I'm guessing the latter since that would explain how Sonic even makes the top 20.

No, they didn't. As far as we know, they include every single game with Mario in its title. If you look at VgChartz data, it doesn't matter whether they included Mario Kart or not, COD would still outsell it.

Here's the easy way to figure this out. Is the "Mario" name in the title? Then yes.

No Wii Sports Resort included? Probably because Ubisoft wanted to claim they had a franchise in the top 5 so they excluded it? They need to provide the criteria for game listing. Also it's a shame the DS and PSP aren't included, Pokemon would easily be in the top 5.

Would be too much Nintendo in the list if DS was included. Pokémon, Brain Training and Nintendogs were huge franchises of the seventh gen, and you'd also have to add in NSMB and MK DS.

Wii Sports was obviously one of the biggest franchises last gen but I guess it might have been excluded because of the bundling.

I'd replace Sonic with Zelda.
