Why was this guy invited?

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Good question. He actually sounds surprised that Nintendo is having any kind of media event, something they announced a while ago.

Pachter didn't get the memo apparently. How did we all know exactly (well, 'more or less' anyways) what Nintendo is going to do at E3, and he didn't
?
His trolling tone aside, he makes the point that we've all been trying to make outside of the noise from Sessler and several users on here
Nintendo's just packaging each element of the show separately for better delivery: the fanboy hype comes from the Nintendo Directs, the media exposure comes from the hands-on media event, the business prospects for a business partner presentation.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
So people are now starting to understand that Nintendo is going to have its usual e3 presence? It takes a while for some people to catch on. They even had the same theater booked. How it's going to be different is how they deliver the content to us gamers, not to the press and business partners. They're going to give us just games and none of the other crap (though I am actually interested in the other crap as an investor). I'm thinking a week or two of back-to-back-to-back NDC's showcasing each game, and then some full hands-on time for press and possibly demos for us. One NDC on each major title would be really cool. Monday: Bayonetta2. Tues: Yarn Yoshi. Wed: Wind Waker HD. Thurs: Wii Fit U. Fri: Thrid party content inc. GTA5. Then follow it up the next week with Xenoblade2, MarioKartU, WiiSports3, Retro's game and Super Mario U. That would be like a gaming news orgie and give Nintendo non-stop buzz for 2 weeks, with everyone anticipating the next day's reveal.

I interpret his tone as genuinely curious. Of course, it's hard to pack something as subtle as tone into 140 characters.

I think Nintendo might have unnecessarily complicated their E3 presentations.
