The console wasn't the only thing that sturdy either. I'm usually a very calm gamer, but I remember one time when I was trying to beat the first level of Halo 2 on legendary (which for some reason was the most painfully difficult experience of the game) and after dying like 30 times in a row I lashed out with my arm and the controller slipped out of my hand. It crashed right into the wall on my right, and actually made a dent in the wall too. Amazingly, the controller didn't have a scratch on it, and worked perfectly fine.


Ah yea I remember Halo 2 on legendary. I would get more annoyed at when u drove a warthog around and a sniper would hit the hood of your warthog or something random then you just die in one hit like you always did lol.

A nostalgic trip indeed. Loved the original xbox. That Halo 2 demo was legendary.

That's a legit thread. It brings back some memories, but also reminds me how many awesome games I didn't get around to playing :(

Never actually played it. Though I still have my Xbox, might try it out sometime.

True, I am usually a calm gamer, but occasionally stuff falls over when gaming, and then after cleaning and restarting the gaming session sometimes it falls over again, I sometimes then go into a bit of a rage attack. Thrashed 1 or 2 controllers, Xbox one was like a brick though.

the original xbox 1 was my overall fave console last gen once dreamcast had dropped off, it was simply brilliant can anyone remember a game called Otogi? pretty neat, great memories



...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

Otogi: Myth of Demons and Otogi: Immortal Warriors. Brilliant and very challenging games.
