Why are people being so hard on Mario Party? Sure, it doesn't look as good as the recent MP9 or Wii Party U. But its reviews weren't that bad, its the latest in the most popular series of party games ever, and even though I don't own a copy, I think it looks fun.
The only big flaws I've heard about are that some of the minigames are worse than others, which has always been true in the series, and the lack of online play, which is less popular in Japan. The fact that the game actually has a single player mode shows that studio ND Cube was at least trying, IMO.
I may have broken this rule in the past (I can't remember doing so, but I have a bad memory), but I try to avoid rooting against games on COMG. I may show disappointment for a game I feel doesn't get enough attention, but bashing a game because it's not my taste seems a bit... tasteless.
Besides, Mario Party flopped hard enough in the West so its potential success in Japan should not be enough to get Nintendo serious about improving series quality.

Heres how I feel about Mario Party Island Tour, if I want a portible Mario Party thank god my 3DS is backwards compatible and will still play the infinitely better Mario Party DS
This isnt the only Nintendo game I will be rooting against either as I feel they have lost there touch recently and have released a few sub par games in some of my favourite series.

What are you talking about?

4 points was more than I expected, especially on a week day. I was wondering if the fairly good increase in points was a blip, I don't really know what's hard to comprehend about that.

sorry that i dont understand negativity?

I just noticed Mario Party's metascore is dangerously close to Knack!
Nintendo should talk to Sony about putting Knack in the next game as a playable character. We all saw how many PS4's Knack sold while the bundle was available, it would be a good idea!
