Quite low for Splatoon 2. Could be stock issues for both the game and Switch.

What is going on with MHXX? The numbers it is pulling are pathetic. Has the franchise been milked too much?

Um... Its a port, of an enhanced version of an enhanced version. Not only is it that but the original game and the original enhanced version and the enhanced enhanced version all sold well and probably had double and triple dippers. The numbers its pulling are bad, but its what you expect with the amount of milk this is.

The Splatoon Switch bundle jumped from 21 to 3 for rakuten stores!Not bad at all!

Im honestly expecting somewhere around 75k for Switch this week when wednesday comes.

PS4 is harder to say, but I would say somewhere around 50k

Enhanced versions and yearly releases have never stopped MH fans before. Of course you'd expect it to do less, but at this rate I'm nost sure if it'll even crack 100k first week. You can't tell me that that was expected.

yeah, but look at the install base of the switch compared to the 3ds, coupled with the fact that the switch is hard to get a hold of. the entire switch intall base is smaller than the die hard MH fanbase. 

It's gonna do lower than expected, but it's a port of a sequel of spin-off (well, not a main entry, so...). With the 3DS version released earlier this year, and MHW early next year, there's no reason at all to buy a game, that most people already have, when a new, bigger, and prettier entry's coming not too far off.

Looking at Rakuten, it looks to be that most of the Spl2n stock was sold through bundles.

Where is Zelda?

Zelda isn't nearly as big in Japan as it is in the west, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 both have already surpassed Zelda sales by quite a bit in Japan.
