They are a plague. They are bacteria that seeps into great franchise and over time erodes them into shallow, DLC-riddled, bug infested shooters. Just this gen they have directly ruined, imho:

Battlefield
Medal of Honor
Dead Space
Need for Speed
NBA Live
SimCity
Madden NFL
Mercenaries
Crysis
Command and Conquer

There are probably others I am forgetting. And I want to throw Origin in also. EA games are pretty much the only console games that require you to log into an entirely separate service just to use the games online and amount to nothing more than another hoop to jump through to get online. They also pioneered Project $10 and AFAIK were one of if not the first to charge microtransactions for things that used to be cheat codes on PS2/Xbox.

The industry would be better off if they went away.

I guess you meant BF 3 ^-^ personally I think DA 2 was a huge step backwards compared to DA:O So was Sim City 5 to 4, as was FIFA 13 to 12, as was ME 3 to ME 2, as was BF 3 to BC 2. Also Dead Space 3. They also raped NFS making it a franchise you can't get excited about it anymore. Also Medal of Honor. And SSX.
And Command and Conquer and etc. etc. etc., didn't play Crysis 3. Sorry for spamming but i'm just fu****g dissapointed how EA always mangaes to dissapoint again and again and again and again. This shit started all with the HD generation.

I can't say much about their other games but I can say that their NHL games are so horrible that I just don't feel like supporting their games ever again. This gen, I've been playing from NHL10-13 (4yrs) and it gets worst and worst. They don't fix their issues and just wait to fix it for next year's game but comes with new problems. Constant server issues and glitches and the AI on your team is so stupid!!!! I honestly don't know if the devs actually play their game for a long period of time or else they'd realize how crappy of a job they've done. But probably because they're the only company that makes NHL games they probably don't care to put alot of effort seeing as there's no competition in that genre.

To sum up, ya I don't like EA and I probably won't buy their games ever again.

They are entertaining.

The company not their games. Can't say I hate them, but they shouldn't be trusted.

I am getting a boner just thinking about all the games I have loved over the years.

Just this gen for me.

Army of two series- It has great coop.

Mass Effect Series- top 3 of this gen

Dead Space Series- the first two are amongst my favorite all time games.

Crysis 2 and 3 Both good games.

Alice the Madness returns. Unique as hell, no one played it. There are rumors of a sequel.

Bulletstorm An enjoyable shooter with a horrible story.

EA distributed Left 4 Dead 2 and Left 4 Dead    Some of the best coop out there.

They distributred the Orange Box that has so much value.

And so many more I do not play that are quality.

They have made some great games this generation, the Saboteur, Battlefield 3, NFS most wanted/ hot pursuit, mass effect series, bulletstorm, sims 3.

Its just a shame they have so much day one dlc for many of their games (it's ridiculous for the Simpsons tapped out)
and i hate that they try to force online on us with some games and make us buy brand new or pay £8 for an online pass (what a piss take, i know they are not only ones but they started online passes) and make us use origin on the PC to play battlefield

But otherwise why so much hate? Activision does pretty much what EA does especially with the cod series

They ruin everything they touch.

DICE is shoving Origin down our throats. EA has a graveyard of actually good publishers that were the victims of hostile takeovers (including some of my favorite game makers of all time). They think they get to decide what console maker succeeds and who fails. They love DRM. Most of their games are mediocre and their sports monopoly is anti-competitive and unethical.

All in all, I don't like EA that much.

would you say they have ruined Criterion? they have made some amazing racers this gen, burnout paradise, nfs most wanted, nfs hot pursuit. Otherwise i mostly agree with you, much of what EA makes is nothing special
