as a ps3 and ps4 fan sony dont own blu-ray and if the 720 has a blu-ray player sony dont get any licensing fees.
blu ray is owned by the blu-ray association

Which Sony is part of. Being one of the major players there. So if M$ pays royalties to the association, Sony will get part of that money.

What an absurd notion. There is absolutely no way that would happen first and foremost because Sony doesn't own Blu-ray. Not to mention that MS could cripple their laptop division.
