Not to mention that Sony is probably paying the most to the bluray association cause they have the best selling bluray player at 75 million..

It uses some kind of bluray-tech, yes, and if you want to believe ethomaz it is only a firmware-issue that WiiU can't play common br-movies... Which is wrong until proven right :) I don't know where the difference is: using the tech itself or using it to play br-movies.

Sony needs all the help it can get. So they'll be hoping for massive Nextbox sales. In fact they'll probably start out making more money off every Nextbox sold than PS4, figuring Sony will sell each PS4 at a small (hopefully) loss.
At 1c/disc and Nextbox hopefully selling an average of 100 million discs per year that'll be a cool $1 million per year from Nextbox disc sales. Should just about cover Kaz's lunch money.

The problem is that they have to give MS more money because of Android...
