American and got all 13 right.

However, I'd argue that the majority of those questions have no basis in everyday life for most people. It wouldn't be surprising to find many in any nation that didn't know the answers.

got everything right.

thankfully saw a documentation about fracking last week or so or I wouldn't have been able to answer it. It's really uncommon in Europe.

i thought it's pretty well known in germany since it's all the freaking time on tv for a few years now. not because we have it here so much but because it's an endless discussion if it's really that good or if we shouldn't do it because of some risks

lol maybe you heard that Kabel Deutschland was forced to unblock the private channels back in April. First month I had TV since I moved to my current apartment in July 2012.
Though I've never seen anything on TV before and never read anything about it on the internet, even though I read Spiegel Online daily.

13/13

Good luck to those who didn't listen in Physics / Chemistry. Not very general questions are they?

i don't really know where i saw those reports but  i think most on ard/zdf/wdr. maybe a lot on wdr since it was mostly about nrw and niedersachsen.

Kind of a pointless quiz

Be more interesting if it was more relevant questions.

Kind of felt like I was taking a quiz to see how many random facts I knew that I would never use in my entire life. I guess it's science based, but hardly a "are you smarter than an American" quiz.

Should be more relevent things. like "who is the president" "what is your states capital?" ect. Things that you would assume EVERYONE shoudl know, but somehow there are a crap load of people that have no clue.  Also what did these questions have to do with americans?  these are all questions that pertain to everyone in the world.  Make the quiz american oriented if the study is labeled as such.

oh and I guess before someone quotes me to just say I'm and idiot, I got 12/13

even if you had 0/13, that does not means you are an idiot at all.  This test like many IQs tests, only meassure the knowledge you have and not how inteligent you are.

While I agree that this is an assessment of topics you should have had throughout secondary education, IQ tests have very little to do with general knowledge.

The examinations usually pertain to:

- Pattern Recognition (Given a series of patterns, what comes next)

- Short-term memory (Memorizing a series of numbers or alphanumerics)

- Visual intelligence (Find what's different between two images)

- Linguistic intelligence (Vocabulary - defining words)

Suffice it to say only 1 category is really based upon learned things.

You answered 10 of 13 questions correctly.

My grades are bad and I should feel bad :(

13/13... pretty easy.

12 out of 13. And I'm an Amurikan!

(I like how all the questions were scientific. Like that proves much...)

13 out of 13, eh.

Pretty much why I got only 12 right. Not a clue what fracking means.
