Interessting, this could be very important for Microsoft. This event is going to be broadcasted on Spike TV I am really curious how this will turn out

I'm not downplaying anything. They've been doing this for years already for the 360. Remember?

Next chapter in the biggest franchise in current gaming, to be revealed during Xbox event.
Yes, you're downplaying.

Many people didnt think that CoD would jump to next gen for the first few years with a new engine. CoD is the most popular game in recent time and gets around 30m sales each year. Now that CoD is jumping to Next gen with a brand new engine yes it is big and surprising since they have a new engine along with a new title. It isnt MW, Black Ops, or WaW. And with Xbox promoting as they have in the past does 1 of two thing. One being many call of duty fans will tune in to see the nexbox. Two could show partenrship between them two as they have in the past to make sure CoD will stay most popular on NeXbox.

Seriously! This one aspect alone makes this a very smart move. COD fanboys as a whole will be tuning in regardless of what their platform of preference is just because it's COD. Once MS has their attention then they can try to seduce them with their other offerings. Very smart move and worth whatever they paid.
I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Not that impressive. They've been in parnetship with Activision for years now promoting COD. This is actually expected by most people at this point. You know what would be impressive? If they snatch up all the big titles. GTA V, Battlefield 4..etc. if these all have timed-DLC then MSFT is in for a great launch. |
Actually I have seen tons of speculation here and on GAF about Activision and EA potentially switching "partners" next gen after all the EA/MS rumors and the Destiny timed-exclusive stuff at the PS4 reveal. So it's far from "expected by most people".
CoD at the reveal is already hugely impressive. If Activision announces it there along with another timed-exclusive DLC deal, wow. Then you add on the potentially exclusive Respawn game and suddenly MS has the 2 biggest 3rd party games in the biggest genre of the most important market nailed down. And then unlike Sony, they also have a AAA franchise in that genre of their own.
Snatching up GTA V timed-exclusive DLC would also be another coup, but I dare say not as big as CoD or an exclusive Respawn game. BF4.. meh. Didn't PS3 have timed-exclusive BF3 DLC? It was such a big deal, I don't even remember it.
Per usual, you're downplaying.
Anyone expecting something like a next gen madden reveal? So we can downplay it if its there the 21st.. >_>

Might want to hold your horses on that one.
LOL How predictable is this? Thats two shooters that I am expecting to see at the show.
