why is it that a lot of people on this site base their opinions towards other users depending on whether they like the same console as they do? i seen this a lot, a lot of nintendo fans would only be nice to other nintendo fans, same goes with the sony and MS fanbase, users from all three fanbases do the same thing. why is that? people here are willing to write me off because i play nintendo or MS games. and if stopped liking sony a lot of sony fans on here would do the same. 

my question is, why do people do that? if you met somebody in real life that doesnt like the same console as you do, would you dislike them for it? would you be willing to punch them in the face?

Edit : i would understand people getting along easier with others who have the same interest as they do, but my question is about people who would borderline dislike someone else for liking a different console

I don't know, I've been noticing it too. I guess people with the same preferences will end up talking in the same threads. I still have enough friends from all camps. If someone wants to hate you because you don't prefer their console, let them.

Depends. I like a fair few folks around here who are most definitely not Nintendo fans (not haters, but not fans), like fellow mods Axumblade, barozi, kantor, and trasharm (all of whom i got along with well before i became a mod, except barozi, who i never really interacted with much before but who turned out to be a great guy in the mod chat), mummelman, Kresnik, Carl, Badgenome (when he's not being too acerbic), and hatmoza to name a few.

In addendum, you're not a bad guy yourself, bananaking, when you stay away from making spam threads...

I've never liked bacon by itself. I treat it like an ingredient in other dishes, but I don't just fry it up and eat it next to my eggs and toast. I'm the same way with sausage too, but I will occasionally eat a sausage if it's the right kind.

Hot dogs are great. I take mine with mustard, ketchup and fresh chopped onions.

Why don't you like Nintendo and MS? I can understand you prefering Sony because everyone has their favorites, but why do you have to only pick one side?

i decided to not say most people on this site but a lot. since thats not the case, but you cant deny that a lot of people do it. also your a nintendo fan? would have never guessed that...

who said i dont like nintendo or MS fans? your mainly a xbox fan and i certainly like you. actually a lot of my friends are ms or nintendo fans. i suppose though that i have more sony fans is because i spend more time in the sony oriented threads and that sony fans are in general, nicer to other sony fans

I know it may be a surprise to many, but yes, I am a Nintendo Fan.

I think most people judge members by their company of choice first anyway. I did that to several members but then I actually got to know badgenome them.
