Stamina bar in the left corner?

I think Magic.

I think it is stamina. The bar decreased when Link used the bow, I didn't see any magic arrows. Also, the bar regenerated pretty fast - just like the stamina in Skyward Sword.

Random thought:

The 'magic meter' and the hearts are on the 3DS's main screen. We know in OoT3D, this and all the other stuff that's not important are on the touchscreen. That begs the question, what's on the touchscreen?!

Well, looks like my kids will get 3DSs. Because I will play this game.

I think you're right. It decreases when Link uses his hammer or bow, and also when he's in "drawing mode."

Actually upon reflection it does look like a Stamina Gauge.

Probably dungeon map/world map and item inventory.

You're not.  I'm actually extremely pissed off at Nintendo right now.  They remade Ocarina of Time.  3DS' primary use is 3D display which thrives on 3D content (i.e. 3D games).  3D Zelda CAN be done, and what do they do?  Make a 2D styled Zelda game to follow up Ocarina of Time.... On the other hand I loved A Link to the Past and this will most likely be a solid title, but where's the effort?

Have you seen the video?

"What our developers want to achieve with this new Zelda game is to reinvigorate the flat, 2D World of A Link to the Past, with a sense of height and volume using the 3D display of 3DS"

"Its easier to differentiate levels and the environment, and our developers can use height differences as a puzzle solving mechanic."

It will use 3D. A true, 3D Zelda will be in development for Wii U.

This is the line that pissed me off further when I watched that video.  That "Height difference" was done... 15 years ago IN Ocarina of Time.  This is what agitates me, the next evolution of A Link to the Past was Ocarina of Time, they're pretty much like "Hey, we can now give 3D height... in 2D!  That's going to do sooo much more than what you can do in regular 3D" note the sarcasm.

Wow. Are we going to get into this discussion?

Why can't people just be happy?
