After the sales of the first one on 3DS, I actually wasn't expecting this.
Still, good news for anyone with a Japanese 3DS, and for the lineup over there in general.

You can use samples, mix instruments, plug in an instrument and play or use existing music that you have on your computer (though most are copyrighted so don't upload them on youtube)
there is a big community online for vocaloid you can find lots of background music samples that people are releasing for free, keep in mind some want you to credit them, while others don't mind, but in the end its best just buy a cheap keyboard (instrument) and play with it of course you can buy an expensive one, but for starters a cheap one is more than enough.

FUCK this region locking. I hate it, Really! really! hate it. If only Sega is open for localizing I will over this news or if the 3DS is region-free. I refuse to buy Japanese 3DS just to play 2 games(mirai) and can only play Japanese games it's really impractical and not ideal.
On the bright side more Nendoroids in the future me likey. Talking about the scans above me. ^^

Yeah, Project Diva f sold more in its first week than Project Mirai did in its lifetime, quite a feat for such a difference in install base... And Sega still said they wanted more sales! I guess Mirai is cheaper to make though, the main cost is licensing the music.

SEGA douchebags. I invested 10'000 yens in Project Diva f, some people bought the game twice. This is how they thank playstation players who dedicated themselves to the series? By making another 3DS only game? And they make a bloody football game instead? I can't say how much I hate these guys atm >_
