Project mirai is a spin off series launched on the ds, and project mirai on 3DS launched before the vita episode.

So atm, this announcement is perfectly logical.

Don't get so worked up, Mirai is the spinoff SD series. You expected another Diva game so soon? They just released the Diva F for PS3, along with the new contents on PSV as DLC. I doubt Mirai will have the massive hit songs like Diva does, it's more children oriented. Senbonzakura, Tell Your World, Black Rock Shooter alone are enough to make Diva f/F far superior.

They used to release a Project Diva game every year. 2013 is the first year without one as it stands now (I'm not counting the PS3 F since it's the same game as f). If they have time to waste on 3DS spin-offs, they might just use it to get to work on a proper Project Diva game. This announcement lets me think that the profitability issues with Project Diva f were real and that consequently that's not in SEGA's plans any more. I can't help being worried and mad at this kind of news.

would you hate them if they did it all the way round?

I would still complain at some point because they're not being consistent on the platform they develop on. I presonnally don't like this design but why don't they bring Mirai to Vita too? It is a clear FU** adressed to Playstation players, who've been supporting the series since 2009!

Well Sega did ask the gamers' opinion on Facebook for Diva F PS3 in the west, but we don't know the conclusion.

I was among the 20K plus that endorsed that.  Still figure it is a long shot.

Sales does not always mean profit, and there were some Sega PR when they said that the PSV game was not returning their investment as they have expected.

Either way, I share Soriku's thoughts. To both games.
