Yeap... gifs looks worst than the graphcs on TV... I agree.

And the gifs in the OP are easy GT5 ones... there is no way you can compare with real-life.

I disagree, they are small sized representations of the actual game in 'motion'. Not less worthy than bullshots which are far more common.

thing is, if you look at a low quality gif you don't see some of the problems a game has (some bad aliasing or so) and because the gif has a bad quality all the stuff which looks bad in the gif is something your brain tells you "hey it only looks bad because of the bad quality" and that makes a gif look awesome even if it has bad quality. hard to explain what i mean but yeah^^

if you look at two different games, let's say halo 4 and crysis 3 pc on ultra and both as gifs, you don't really see such a huge difference. it's important to take a gif from an interesting part of the game and it almost automatically looks awesome. but play both games by yourself on a big screen or look at youtube videos in 720p or 1080p  (even if they have also bad quality) and you see a huge difference between both games.

PD cut some corners when upgrading some of the 800 cars. Some got better treatment then others. Youd know this, but somehow I think you overlooked it.

I don't know how to use a TV with lower resolution and choose only standards cars helps in your doubts... GT5 is the best looking racer in consoles.

Forza 4 says hello . I have both games an dforza is way better lookign then GT5. dON'T FORGET ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF HUNDREDS AND HUNDRED IF CARS LOOK PREMIUM. they are small parts of a game which let every game look like the best or worst games ever made (graphically). i mean, those guys who make the gifs always do it to praise a game or to talk crap about it.

you use only gifs of a console game which looks awesome in reality so that's not so bad but sometimes when i see those gifs i still think they don't really represent the real game. they often have a higher or slower speed which gives that special feeling (don't know how it's called but it's the same when you use a slow motion cam for a crazy stunt in a half pipe or something) and don't show the flaws the game has (because the gifs have such a bad quality that you can't see it)

even if youtube is also bad but i still think people should post more gameplay as video and less as gif.

Well thats certainly arguable, since Forza 4 came out a year later and is the overall better looking game, with certainly hundreds more "premium cars"
