You don't want to release a game like Halo when there are the market is so small. You need to wait until there are several million potential customers first(20?). Otherwise you get haters saying OMG! teh Haloz only sold like 2million! M$ FAIL!!1!!!ONE!!!, even if it's at a 100% attach ratio.

meh after working all day and then going to the gym on the way home i dont want to ryse and jump around on the kinect, hopefully they keep the comfy 360 controller similar or the same.

I had a serious erection until I saw 'deep kinect integration'. Hopefully the game turns out to be great if true. I look forward to seeing Microsoft's offerings for the next gen. I enjoyed some of the launch (and launch window) games they had for the X360, so I'd like to see what they have for the Next X.

I fexecuted properly Ryse could become something that actually uses mechanics not seen recent games, at least I sure hope so because action games need something new really bad right now and I'm pretty sure Valve hates Ms right now so a Zombie game from them? I doubt it.

The original forza series is Always a solid million hitter whether it launces on launch or 5 years down the road.

The 360 launch had a years headstart and no competition with tons of third party timed exclusives. On equal footing Microsoft wont have that impressive of a catalogue compared to the 360 that even won me over. Microsoft will beef up their multimedia to set themselves apart.

Ballmer has already stated in an interview that Ryse is a hybrid game. However the rumor is the Crackdown 2 team is working on multiplayer for the game. If it has multiplayer there won't be much Kinect in the game.

I also think this article is confusing Project Gotham Racing 5 with a new Forza game. There are way to many job descriptions that support PGR 5 being in development.

I doubt money has anything to do with it at this point. Valve has praised Sony for opening up their online and basically appologized about their false words against Sony. Microsofts edge with valve is gone and steam even signs in PSN user.

3 times actually. An interview in 2011 and 2012. Then a month or 2 ago he went to visit Crytek and made a tweet about the game coming along really well.
