I keep hearing that Nintendo had surrendered the fiscal year and wouldn't make any announcements until the next one, but when is that? Now? In June/July?

each company has its own fiscal year from what i understand, so i dont know nintendo's but i would assume it would be last quarter since if its this quarter that would mean there would be no announcments at E3. so yeah, end of march for nintendo

That would be good, so their maddening silence on Pikmin 3/Wonderful 101/etc should end soon?

it should, but i would have no idea when exactly, they said they have no announcments last fiscal year but they didnt say when they would announce anything after its done. but hopefully it will be soon.

Nintendo and Sony both use the same end of the fiscal year. Their year ends March 31st, and starts April 1st. The Q4 results usually take a month longer to compile and have the investor meeting. They usually hold the year end meeting in the third week of May, so we still have over a month before we hear anything on the financials. Though we are due for a ND this month.
Nintendo announces results April 24th barring changes

Oh and in the past the investor meeting was the following day so expect the 25th
Pretty much guaranteed loss though for Q4? With WiiU selling at a loss after all.

Thanks guys. Seems weird that there isn't a universal fiscal year.
I'm not so much interested in the fiscal results, more in the possibility than Nintendo might end its silence regarding upcoming games soon. Waiting for Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 is becoming torture.
I'm not sure why, but many people say that they'll make announcements now that the new year as started. (Can anyone explain this logic to me?)
