Calling a mainstream game like Grand Theft Auto hardcore is the same as calling Justin Timberlake hardcore.

I have a friend (a girl) who loves Quantic Dreams games. She even played The Nomad Soul (Which I haven't ._.).

Having said that, "the same games as men" is a pretty bold statement. I am pretty sure no one here likes the exactly same game list as the others. So no, girl gamers don't like the exactly same games as men.

i don't really think so. sure there are some girls who play battlefield and total war but i'm sure the percentual difference between guys and girls playing total war is bigger as the difference between them in a game like nintendogs or the sims.

there are also girls who love to watch football or guys who like sex and the city but i would say it's still clear that there is a general difference in interests, exceptions aren't the norm.

I'm happy when I can convince my girlfriend to play a FIFA match with me or Rayman. Other than that she plays tons of casual mobile games and Dance Central.

Well she had a N64 back in the days (shared with her family) and used to like Banjo & Mario Kart.

She can't really control the camera in a 3D space and that's what makes a huge part of modern games unplayable for her and she doesn't really try to practice it.


One of her sisters is a real gamer though. Loves God of War among others I can't remember right now :P

Impressive, most impressive...I rarely meet people who even know of that game, let alone have played it. Wish they make HD remake, so more people could enjoy that gem.

Know plenty of girls more hardcore than me with a $2000 gaming PC and own every console.
