I can't say I'm surprised.
Still.. That's harsh :/

That one worries me.

Only additional proof that Nintendo targets other gamers and they are not really intentionally in any competition with ps4nextbox. Doesn't mean that there will be no good games ahead.

Shame he had to be so harsh, but it makes sense. If you want to sell a next-gen engine right now, you would want to distance yourself from the Wii U, even if that means mocking it.
Hopefully they come back to it in a year or so.

What game on a Nintendo platform, that launched side by side with other versions (NOT CoD BLOPS2) and wasn't gimped in any way didn't sell well? Soul Calibur 2 on GC outsold the PS2 version. CoD 3 on Wii, despite being gimped outsold the PS3 version. People learned their lession about CoD on Wii after that though... |
Link sold that one.

No they didnt... they simply accepeted that the Wii version will never have the AAA online component that is necesarry for CoD...
OT: why are people even surprised about this announcement? I mean the WiiU is an underpowered and underperforming system. If Nintendo doesnt get their act together fast, not even the ocasioanl japanese support will be enough for them #DQ10willbombontheU.
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
At least they still have Ubisoft, for now anyways.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
Well, that makes me a wee bit upset with Epic. If only there were some karmic retribution.
(Notices that their latest Gears of War game had a fraction of the opening of their previous game.)
Ahh!
In all seriousness though, this is very bad news, and seems almost malicious considering how scalability was said to be a major goal of Unreal Engine 4. Especially because the Wii U is not THAT much weaker than the PS4. I mean, the Wii to Wii U jump was bigger than the PS3 to PS4 jump (roughly 20 or 25 times more RAM vs. 16 times more RAM).
Well, when the "real" 8th gen comes out and consoles begin at $500, we'll see how excited the public is for them then.
Oh man, Nintendo was getting slapped around as of late by consumers with poor sales, and then Epic had to come and punch them right in the testicles with no UE4 support.
Well, considering that the UE4 demo on the PS4 looks subpar, this is no surprise. UE4 on Wii U would look like UE3, even if it's more powerful than the 360/PS3.
