And Greece doesn't have a racism problem, it's more of an immigration problem.
In no way do I, or many people I know, support Golden Dawn and their nazi politican views. They just beat up and kill immigrants. The only reason they exist is because stupid 18 years olds and old people voted them.
Many people don't like the immigrants because they're illegal there, take all the jobs (Gas stations and supermarkets).

The right wingers explictly said if someone sees a dark skinned person walking in the streets to call them and they will solve the "problem". The right wingers are the mirror of Greek frustration and they are omnipresnt in today's Greek society. An olympic athlete was banned for life from the Olympics because she had a very insulting remark towards Africans.

Considering the whole "Respect" campaign by FIFA, this guy can't be surprised and should be banned for life by FIFA, not just the Greek federation. Even more if you consider that nowadays in Europe football is the substitute of war...

Considering you comment I don't know wether nazis or guys like you are the real danger, saying that as someone whie grandpa was imprisoned by nazis.I'd rather be beaten up twice a day by a nazi or be shot in the head than living in a world where a guy like you make the laws and people are banned for life because of  a stupid handsign

On the one hand you call football a war-substitute on the other hand you will bann someone for life for a stupid sign?Seems you don't know what war is.If football is a war substitute than a fascist sign is for sure one of the mildest things you can expect in war.

Considering the fifa respect campaign your comment is bullcrap,as it is not that guys fault that fifa is making such a campaign and the fifa campaign has absolutely nothing to do with the greek football league.

The british have killed dozen times more people than the nazis, the turks the same, the arab  attrocities in europe and india, the spain and portuguese christian warlords in southamerica, mao killed 70mio,stalin 50 mio(with a lot help from the zionists) -all killings based on racism and/or primitive ideology ,but i'm still allowed to use their gestures but not the one of the romans that was perverted by the nazis?

U mad bro?

You better get that gun right away, cause I'm a lawyer and may actually influence the law in the future :P

Yes I do think that in Europe football is a substitute to war. It is a way of peaceful competition between nations. It's impossible to avoid competing and conflicts, cause we all have a history of fighting each other and animosities that are over a thousand year old. To tell the truth, I really can't understand what's your issue here. Instead of hating and killing each other, we play football and live a peaceful life. All I'm saying is acknowledgin the huge role that football plays in the process of keeping this surprisingly long period of peace in Europe.

In my country the use of both fasci or communist ideology or symbols is forbidden, so you can't go around with a swastika or hammer and sickle. There was an ad aired two weeks ago that featured a guy looking like Lenin and talking about a Revolution (in prices) and it got banned the next day.

I can't believe he didn't know what it meant. I can see banning him, until he gets a legitimate education.

But then, I don't have tattoos on my arms, and watch my family killed in the Camps, like one of my friends. I thinks a bit more than just 'political correctness.' Europe doesn't ever want to be like that again.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

People should be able to freely express their opinions and views. Political correctness is censorship that opposes freedom of speech and censorship does not belong in a true democracy.

Excuse me buddy but Democracy is not similar to anarchy. If your freedom of speech obstruct my freedom and rights than it ceases to be a part of democracy. True democracy never harbors fascism and a sign that supports ethnic cleansing and etc... democracy is not all about rights, thats why it's so f***** up and nobody got it right yet. Democracy is about exercing duties also to promote the well being of the "demos". Freedom is not free and thank goodness.

You are correct, but allow me to explain as a US Citizen we get abit over zealous about our freedom of speech - that any perceived limitation is a total threat to our way of life.  It's really popular here, and I think I have been guilty of it too.

We hear about censoring, in other countries like Canada, and see it as it as a completely loss of freedom.  In reality we live with plenty limitations of free speech:

You can't yell 'fire!' in a movie theater, you can't 'I am going to punch you' (liable), and 'let's all get together and kill the people in that house over there.'

Also, the Nazi were so long ago, I think people forget how bad people were to each other.  It’s was many, many people, doing many wicked things, to lots of people.  I hope as a society humanity doesn’t ever let a big group get that bad again.

Milawa riots and general treatment of the Roma, various racist incidents involving poland in soccer games.

Though looking at it, it does look like they've seen a decrease recently, so good on them.  Good to hear I am part Polish afterall.

Soccer fans are almost universally represent the nationalist part of youth in Europe, so Poland I'm afraid is not alone here. These young men are very good ground for varios kind of political predators with Nazi sentiments a-la Hrisi Avgi to build a solid fanbase.

Did a research on who is subsidizing these Nazi under disguise organizations in selected countries -- pretty much the same people who're behind various HR movements. Not sure who might be main beneficiary here, but could imagine multiple outbreaks in the future, migrants are bound to be the main scapegoat.

If he's Greek, he knew what he was doing, otherwise he's mentally retarded. He's banned for life because that Greek football team does not want their employees showing to the world that they are OK with paying homage to the what history has judged the most evil genocidal tyrant we have ever known. There are still a great many people who were alive in that time, and a great many people who fought in that war, and a great many people who suffered in that war.

It would be logically stupid to just let this slide. It has nothing to do with "Oh, well this might not be politically correct!" That's a a silly American view, and this isn't the US we're talking about. This is a place where people don't want to be rememinded of those atrocities they suffered not because some silly person with a bow-tie decides "Oh, I think that must be offensive, so I am going to be offended."  This decision was made by the logic that there would be backlash otherwise.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

How can they be extinct? Go to Germany and you can still meet many of them. It's not like the "bad" Germans vaporised in 1944 and were substituted with "good" ones. I actually recall when I was living in Germany I was in a tram and a very old man entered the tram. Since all seats were taken, I got up and offered him mine - normal. After a moment I realised, that there is actually a big chance that this old man when he was young would put a bullet in my head just because of my origin and now I'm offering him a seat... I think that really tells a lot about Europe and how far we've gone now. IIWW is not ancient history, Nazi Germans are not fairy tales, they are people who still live and do everyday stuff, eat, sleep, shop, vote. Many of their victims, prisoners of death camps are still alive as well. Maybe you don't care, cause for you Nazis are just some fictional characters that Captain America fought against, but for us this is a big deal and we really do care.

No, over here people are not allowed to be Nazis even if they want that very much. That's why even Wolfenstein 3D has been banned in Austria (to this day I believe) and had to be heavily modified (all swastikas cut out, the soundtrack changed and final boss changed as well) to be allowed in Germany.
