i still wonder where my game is since it's already on the way from england for 10 days now. royal mail is really slow

Should have bought retail! Are you in England?

no, germany but i still think that's way too long but it's much cheaper to buy in england so not really a prob to get it later. i often buy in england, sometimes it takes only 5 days or so and sometimes like 15 which i really don't understand.

Yeah, blame that on Royal Mail. ;p

not sure if it was sarcasm or if you agree but if i send something from germany to another european country it takes only little bit longer as between two german places (which usually only takes one day) and since i can track the game i also know where it was so long (in uk)

Oh no.. I agree. RM are used by pretty much most (if not all) UK online retailers and they can be pretty crappy when it comes to deliveries.

Slightly off topic. What are the system requirements to run this on max settings? I've been thinking about getting this or Tomb Raider for PC, but if I can't run either at max settings, I might as well get them both for PS3.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

For 360 owners, install the game. No framerate issues at all. Its best best version on consoles.

Not when the PS3 have the most responsive controls during intense fire fights where quick reactions count.

That is the DF conclusion "The more responsive PS3 game gets the nod for delivering a more consistent, flowing gameplay experience. The addition of tearing isn't particularly attractive, but the extra controller response is preferable during intense combat scenes."

Sadly they didn't tell us if they installed the game on 360. I remember some comparisons from lensoftruth.com where this also happened ("360-version has worse textures").

To do a fair comparison they wouldn't install it. They have to see it working in a way that can suit everyone. No everyone has a hdd to install multiple games on the 360 were the ps3 comes with bigger hdd's to make up for the mandatory installs on most if not all games this late into the gen.

what about people with this?

It takes GT5 to make it useless for other games with mandatory installs.

Out of 75ish million consoles sold how many do you think are 12gb versions? They went with the majority, like anyone with a shred of intelligence would.

A good percentage of the 12gb models have probably been installed with hdd's anyway. My mate's ylod and he did the obvious.

I don't know how many do but there a lot of them available on amazon.de, for example: http://www.amazon.de/PlayStation-Konsole-DualShock-Wireless-Controller/dp/B00B4RLJ9O/ref=sr_tr_sr_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1364816773&sr=1-1 so I guess people buy these a lot (they are also cheaper, of course). You can't talk this off when pushing me to provide data. How many put an hdd in their ps3 is also unknown.

And please stop to argue with "anyone with intelligence" - this is nonsense, yet popular in people's argumentations, especially when they think their own decision was intelligent.

Anyone mind posting a screenshot of how the pc version looks like because I'm not seeing the "full generation leap" over the PS3 version.

There's a bunch of my personal shots. When I get more time to play I'll be taking more. Depending on the browser you can right click and view them at full size, though the game's built in AA solution is kinda lame so I'll be trying some other alternatives when I get back to it.

EDIT: I think a lot of the "next-gen looking" talk has to also do with seeing it in motion. The DDoF makes a difference in motion with the nuances of color and focus changing dynamically and somewhat realistically for a change. Though personally I just love the art and don't care about this "current gen" vs "next gen" comparison.

I think you're right - it can only be truly judged in motion. Based on the screenshots themselves, I would say it's not bad but only incremental upgrade from what we have atm.

Color me surprised, PS3 wins in a UE3 game? Nevertheless, I'm surprised by the visuals on consoles, looks really good.
