Forums - Gaming Discussion - Battlefield 4 revealed: 17 Minutes of Gameplay

Am I the only one who think that this is the same BF3 engine with revamped better Global illumination, different Art style and better skin shader, giving an illusion of better graphics? Yes destruction is impressive. But i just don't see that big of a jump from BF3, which I m playing right now on ultra.

P.s. Fox engine looks better.

aaaand we're in the uncanny valley lol. Amazing graphics. Most impressive looking game I've ever seen, I must say. The destruction only adds to that impression

She "repulses" you?

I definitely had the same reaction. I watched it a few more times and realized it's her eyes. They're emotionless and just OPEN. they have no sense of emotion nor even sight-direction in them.

EDIT: OH MY GOD THAT GUY BEHIND HER IS THE MEDIC FROM BF3 MULTIPLAYER! =D

we should compare gameplay vs. gameplay or engine stuff against engine stuff but i didn't really see some "this is our engine how it could be used in games" from frostbite 3 to compaere it with the fox engine stuff we saw today.

Looks great, I'm curious to see how the PS360 versions hold up in comparison.

I have less than zero interest in games like this, but that new Frostbite engine is very impressive. Hopefully some really creative indie devs will eventually be able to utilize it next gen.
