LOL there is tons of games which have frustrating situations because most devs somehow think being unfair equals being difficult (AI has to cheat etc...)

I noticed that earlier as well and it was hillarious, when taking this game in mind.

This game should have had the original cast from the movies instead and she would have given it 10/10.

The multiplayer mode makes it obvious. The only diffences is that there are four Luigis and that Luigi is in the game.

No. Gamespot has really talented people and reviewers. Danny, for example (The one with the Escape from Mount Stupid videos and Random Encounter) is a quite brilliant individue. Kevin Van Ord is a great interviewer (although he's losing his touch when it comes to review). Gamespot is among the greatest videogame webpages available. The problem is, when they screw up, they screw up hard.

It definitely deserves higher than 6.5, but what are you gonna do?
Also reviewers are entitled to their opinion, even though we all know they're wrong. :P

The difficulty, which is surprisingly high (pleasant surprise!) should not lead to deduction of points.

It's much better if you have to earn everything the hard way.

After you've become accustomed to the controls it's not even that difficult, but perfectly manageable.

They're also quite known for being anti-nintendo for no damn good reason. go on sites like gamerankings or metacritics, look at top rated nintendo games and loom at their scores for nintendo games. LoZ: Twilight Princess for example.
