FUCK GAMESPOT

No. Gamespot has really talented people and reviewers. Danny, for example (The one with the Escape from Mount Stupid videos and Random Encounter) is a quite brilliant individue. Kevin Van Ord is a great interviewer (although he's losing his touch when it comes to review). Gamespot is among the greatest videogame webpages available. The problem is, when they screw up, they screw up hard.

They're also quite known for being anti-nintendo for no damn good reason. go on sites like gamerankings or metacritics, look at top rated nintendo games and loom at their scores for nintendo games. LoZ: Twilight Princess for example.

Yes; look at The Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Brawl, No more Heroes, Okami, Punch-out, Pandora's Tower... sure, they hate Nintendo.

There are only three games with a perfect ten in the whole Gamespot reviews. One of them is an iconic Nintendo game.

I could care less about only one of their pefect 10s being a Nintendo game. If you want to lose readers from a large fanbase, then they should keep doing what they're doing. Now on a side note let me say this. I myself used to be a reader for Gamespot.

They gave Twillight Princess an 8.8 and Skyword Sword a 7.5 which was far generous for that piece of garbage. They gave Spirit Track 8.5, Phanton Hourglass 9.0. Super MArio Galaxy 9.5, Super Mario Galaxy 10, New Super Mario Bros. 9.0, New Super Mario Bros. Wii 8.5

And now mr. Smart tell me how is this Anti Nintendo. Because they had the guts to say their opinion out loud?

"One key combat sequence is a frustrating challenge, not a rewarding one."

LOL there is tons of games which have frustrating situations because most devs somehow think being unfair equals being difficult (AI has to cheat etc...)

And the best part is this!:

at her "info"
"she....... intends to leave the field of games journalism as soon as she hears that her local Ghostbusters franchise is hiring."

So she hates the game because its a ghostbusters ripoff!? lol

I noticed that earlier as well and it was hillarious, when taking this game in mind.

This game should have had the original cast from the movies instead and she would have given it 10/10.

So this game is a Ghostbusters ripoff??

We need to talk about this

The multiplayer mode makes it obvious. The only diffences is that there are four Luigis and that Luigi is in the game.

Yup the multiplayer looks like ghostbusters and even LM 1 had this strange machine where you "inserted" the ghosts that looked like the machine from the basement of the Ghostbusters HQ.   And then there is the vaccum etc...

But I never wanted to say its a GB ripoff.  I was trying to say that she SEES it as a ripoff and goes fangirl mode to her precious GB franchise.

For me its not really a ripoff its more of an homage.

I agree completely.  There is never any reason to get angry just because one person didn't like a game nearly as much as another.  There is nothing inherently wrong with review scores but the way people react to them can be nuts.

Unless you're IGN.

OT: 6.5 really is not a bad score for what this game is. It's a little surprising, though, that she gave NintendoLand an 8.0...

are you patronizing me or are you using sarcasm? because my name isn't mr. smart thank you.

and I don't know if you live under a rock or just sleep all day because it's well know that gamespot generally is anti-nintendo in the sense that they score nintendo games that get high scores 1-2+ lower than the average.

Super Mario 3D Land which normally gets 9 got and 8 from Gamespot, Zelda Skyward Sword gets mostly 9-10 score and Gamespot gives it a 7.5, Star Fox 64 3D normally got like 8s and 8.5s, while Gamespot gave it a 7.5, and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D got normally like 9-10 and Gamespot gave it an 8.5. Twilight Princess has a 95 average and got 8.8 from them. Let me tell you something, a 7 or 8 or 8.5 is scores different from a 9 or 9.5 or a 10. That is anti-Nintendo. Type into google search "why does gamesp"

Look at SMG2, The Last Story and Brawl while you're at it.

I don't care they're anti-nintendo the fact that you guys need to list games to convince me proves that. Gamespot can eat burnt oatmeal for all I care.

For reference, this is how the community reacted. There are several people who discredited the review. Sony fans.

Since it's the 3DS this time, now people are entitled to their own opinions, aren't they?
