"Zen Pinball 2 is now available as a free download from the Nintendo eShop, with free trials of an extensive library of pinball tables (including Marvel Pinball) so you can try each table before you buy."
That was posted on Wii U facebook page earlier today.
Gonna try it out tonight!
F2P which means you get to play demos (about the only F2P that I support). ~3 dollars per individual table and 10 dollars per pack of 4.
What, it wasn't available in the NA? It's a must have for pinball fans. There are quite a few boards to choose from and you're able to try before you buy which is great. Only have Zombies vs Plants so far but it's enough to keep me busy.
The game also supports the wonderful off-tv option.

Great! I'll try as soon as possible.

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor
Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Zen Classic Pack featuring Tesla, El Dorado, V12, Shaman
Marvel Pinball featuring Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade and Iron Man
Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles featuring Marvel’s The Avengers, Infinity Gauntlet, World War Hulk, Fear Itself
Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue featuring X-Men, Thor, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight
Individual DLC Tables: Excalibur, Earth Defense, Sorcerer’s Lair, Paranormal, Mars, Epic Quest, Plants vs. Zombies, Fantastic Four, Captain America, Civil War
I'll probably get Sorcerer's Lair (recommend by friend), Civil War, and Avengers and Vengeance packs eventually. I might only be able to afford one table and possible a pack at first though.
Might want to put the list of tables in op along with prices, superchunk.
I'll pass. Tablet is the superior platform for pinball. Having buttons for flippers is nice, but you can't beat portrait screen orientation for a game like this. It just doesn't feel right holding the tablet controller like that, plus you'd lose the buttons.

Played Pinball Arcade by Farsight Studios barely (like a table or two) and I didn't like it at all on my smartphone. Not being able to hit a button is a big deal for me in a pinball game. Also, the flippers and ball movement behaved like shit (not "realistic feeling" at all) compared to Zen Pinball.
What are you talking about losing buttons controls on Wii U? You use the L + R triggers for the flippers.
I might be misreading your post. Were you talking about tablets at the end or Wii U? You mentioned controller so I assumed you were talking about the Wii U gamepad
You should not put 'FREE' in the title. Yes, it is a free demo. What a surprise. You will have to buy every table.
Anyways, good for you. Great tables are Thor and Moon Knight (Vengeance&Virtue-Pack), Epic Quest (everyone agrees on this), Plants vs. Zombies and Sorcers Lair.
