I freaked out when I saw the thread title, but now I'm a little less excited. These are just multiplayer modes from the series touched up in HD? Not a full game?

Or am I reading it wrong?

It's a fan game. Crytek has allowed them to do it.

That's cool. Maybe it will draw some more attention to the series :)

I would love a proper TimeSplitters 4.

PC Only... Crytek still hasn't got a fucking clue.

It's bound to head over to consoles.

Its a fangame and they get help from some former Timesplitter developers.

As of know we can be happy it comes for PC and hopefully it stays there cause then it has a chance to be competitive.
I remember reading some articles where a lot of publishers didn't want to finance a new Timesplitters cause the marketing people said they don't know
how to sell something like that cause it isn't mainstream aka Copy+Paste Call of Duty.
They though a lot about kickstarter...Obviously something happened and they allow at least fans to work on it and take on the project.

You have no clue.
Its obviously not a real project with big money behind it.
Hence why fans are working on it and are allowed to use the IP at all - Crytek is probably only allowing them to use the expensive license for the Engine.

Holy shit. Now finish making Timesplitters 4 Crytek :P

I'm happy as a fan and I hope that this will prove that there still is a big fanbase for timesplitters so they'll continue the franchise with a proper sequel..
