There is a crisis at VGC. We need to talk about it.

Agreed. This is too many months in a row now and every week we see no adjustments, even from the latest Nintendo EU numbers, no to mention MS/Sony financial reports.

How are we to even have useful discussion here based on our numbers?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Every WW I said vgchartz is fucking up with 30% down YoY for 2012 and 2013.

It's more like 15% down YoY.

The ones doubting your sales prediction because "current massive yoy drops" are pretty clueless actually. Now, I'm not saying your predictions are reasonable. Just saying their reasoning is anymore valid as yours

Here’s the best-selling games from February:

1 Dead Space 3 (360, PS3, PC)
2 Call of Duty: Black Ops II (360, PS3, Wii U PC)
3 Crysis 3 (360, PS3, PC)
4 NBA 2K13 (360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, PSP, PC)
5 Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (PS3, 360)
6 Aliens: Colonial Marines 2013 (360, PS3, PC)
7 Just Dance 4 (Wii, 360, PS3, Wii U)
8 Far Cry 3 (360, PS3, PC)
9 Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS3, PSV)
10 Madden NFL 13 (360, PS3, Wii, PSV, Wii U)
Total software sales is down 27 percent to $352 million from $484 million in 2012. That’s also down from January which saw $373 million in sales, but January was five-week month for the NPD report.

I knew this bullshit 30-40% down per week YOY couldn't be right. It just seemed like a big drop for no reason at all. I would understand it if WiiU had taken off but it didn't.

i agree. though the consoles seem massively undertracked. and not 200k, 300k undertracked. im talking about 2 million undertracked atleast. no way have both consoles not even close to reaching the shipment numbers of december by now. there are still 1.5 million 360's on shelves from the december shipments? we now that ps3 is around 77 million by now from jack tretton. so around 4 million on shelves? doesnt make any sense at all.

Almost certainly Wii U included. It's just not adding up otherwise. So we have 435k between 3 consoles, so:

PS3- 220k
Wii U- 100k
Wii- 90k

And the other 25k could go to any of them really.

But yeah, the tracking system is ridiculous. I'm not saying that NPD are deftly accurate, but...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

“Looking at hardware sales on an average per week basis, all platforms showed an increase from January into February. Specifically, new platforms like the Wii U and PS Vita demonstrated some momentum from the typical January hardware lull with increases of over 40% and 30% respectively.”

WiiU - 65K ?

WiiU 100k? What gives?

Pretty much just doubled their numbers which VGC had.
