I think that the original series had the best characters, but that The Next Generation had the best stories. So with that, I would have to go with TNG slightly.

The Next Generation with the original close behind. I just finished watching the entire series of The Next Generation a couple months ago, and it holds up pretty well IMO. Never saw the movies though, so I'm gonna start watching those soon.

TNG is one of my all time favorites. But Voyager aired during my teenage years and was the first show I waited for each week to air. My antenna would always mess up, so I was always sent outside to adjusts it. One of those giant antennas people used to have. I think it was "Hell" season that was the best. Every episode they were being beat on. Even the finale did not disappoint when they smashed through a dozen Borg ships.

Never gave Enterprise the time of day. Did not like that they used a known actor as captain. Was not interested. Deep space nine was lame as well. Even their war did not interest me. Only paid attention occassiinally, seemed like more of a soap opera to me.

Ive been wanting to do this thread for for a little bit now as well but didn't for your reasons. I was hoping for a little more feed back but the turn out was ok. Enterprise I thought did a good job of showing pre-federation Star Trek. What did you think of Voyagers ending?

I don't like Enterprise much and I never really watched the animated series but I think all the rest are good. Hard to say which is my favorite but it'd be between TNG, DS9 or Voyager.

Next Gen is my favorite, but I also liked Deep Space. I used to watch the original series reruns when I was little and nothing else was on. I can still enjoy it, but it's not my favorite.

TOUGH QUESTION.

They all had their ups and downs with seasons.

I liked the concept of Voyager, but I probably liked the characters in TNG more.

Deep Space 9 for me the last couple seasons probably one of my favourite in the entire star trek series.

TNG for me. The characters, ideas and the introduction of the Borg; it was sci-fi done right. A close second would be Voyager. The whole concept was great and although it had a few boring episodes in the first couple of seasons, overall it was very well done.

DS9 was easily the worst. It had its moments but too many episodes and story arcs just dragged.

I agree with you for the most part. Due to my age and having only basic tv(ABC NBC CBS) growing up Iwas never able to watch any of them as they aired. I first started watching TNG reruns and I see your point about rewatching them. I liked DS9s second half more than the first, I think because of more action and the charecters (Worf, Martok, and Weyoun). Enterprise was a shame, being cancelled.

DS9 is fine. It just doesn't get good until Worf shows up. As for Enterprise, you thought the Trip/T'pol thing was bad? What about that Xindi bullshit and the temporal cold war? That was fucking AWFUL.

TNG, DS9 and Voyager were all on WKBD50 and UPN. Which were basic TV channels. At least in Michigan.
