Spurge's "Breaking News" thread asking what people think of "Breaking News" was also really really bad...

Jay, one of the things I've noticed is that you'll make a thread about sandwiches...then once that is done, make one specifically about peanut butter and jelly, and then soon after, "why does everyone have a problem with peanut butter", followed by a thread "Why are we allergic to peanuts".
Akvod is kinda right... you make a lot of threads that could all be self-contained, or even on someone's wall.

Also you stole my trademark to NeXbox. That is mine, I copyrighted it and patented it in the nexbox hype thread.

So when the point systemnis gone and this still happens? Then what? Back before points there were countless spam and pointless threads. People will always do it! On any website! Get over it. Check the word game thread by snesboy. 3300 posts if I am not mistaken. Bunch of hypocrites as usual.

spurge before points, there was vg$, which functioned in the exact same way except you could actually use the money to do fun things.
I remember when leo j had negative 50,000 vg$

Making a lot of threads and spam is two different things.  By this point you all really should just call this the I hate JayWood2010 thread.

P.S. i never got to reply to you earlier about your ban but I agree with the ban I recieved about Apple.  I thought it was funny but I still realize that i shouldnt have done it.

Why are we bothering JayWood?

Why not tbone? He makes billions of low quality threads every day.

What I'm assuming and hoping is that it'll have some kind of impact and reduce it. So far, the people who are against eliminating the system say: 1) Nobody cares about points 2) It'll have no effect. My response is that if nobody cares about the point system, nobody should care if it gets eliminated.

Another possible solution is to also have additional sub forums. Not only would it allow for better filtering, but people who want to rack up things like post counts can do so by just spamming in the spam forum.

Again, I never presented getting rid of the point system as a complete solution. Just one step towards the right direction.

Before people spammed for Points, people spammed for vg$.

The best way to combat it is to remove every "point" system. Simply have post count. Mods should hammer down on shit threads or make a sub-forum for them. "Talk Bollocks" forum. A forum where you can make any thread about anything. Voting threads. User above threads. Camel toe, bulge, fap threads. Posts in this forum arent counted towards your post count and the threads dont appear in the Hot Topics, you have to click a seperate link to get there and some moderators are hired just for that said sub-forum.

Hot Topics clear of shit. People can spam there as much as they want. Everyones happy.

I would also consider these people to be some of the best users.  They not only make threads but they are very active in other threads by giving insightful opinions.

Most of these people do not live by example. They have no ideas so they just do not make threads. I see some of these people post more than ever before only to mock or bad mouth others on these forums because these "others" are not their cup of tea. Their only posts are to go in threads and say how horrible they are.

If they do make threads, it is usually a copy paste that they got lucky and found on n4g.

They want the site to be better but are too lazy to do anything but complain. Don't post in he bad threads and they will not be made when the OP gets a clue that they are not enjoyed. Obviously ioi is not blind. H sees money and does not care about spam threads or threads with little substance.

You're not arguing on the substance of the argument now. Just because other people don't make as many threads don't invalidate their argument.

Not sure what your point about ioi is, lol. It sounds like you're implying that ioi likes having spam threads because it increases the web site's stats and results in more money for him. Pretty rude IMO.
