Actually, I'm thinking that those spam forums should allow people to raise their post count. Just so that the people who do only care about post counts are contained in those forums.
But yeah, a "spam" or "Talk Bollocks" forums are a pretty standard sub forum in many big forums.

Because all of these low quality threads are having a negative long term effect on the community.

As some posters already mentioned, off topics shouldn't be a spam forum. Off topics/general doesn't mean a forum with LOW QUALITY threads. What some of us want is a sub forum that's meant for low quality threads.
Also, there's still low quality threads in the gaming related forums.

And my point is that busier =/= good. In my opinion, the moderation team is inconsistent, and they're both lenient in bad ways and harsh in bad ways. The mods need to either have more explicit rules, or have a consistent standard of expectation.
Anyway, that's another problem that I'll like to be adressed, but I don't really want to talk about mods in this thread.
I do in fact like the points system, but that doesn't mean i'm a spammer. I don't go around posting in every thread, post one word comments or replying to every goddamn post just like some big member on here (Not spurge).
Points are awesome and it is indeed an important thing for the site.

I think you're taking this a bit too personally jaywood. And in regards to my thread, you had taken that too personally too, there is a clear difference between your thread, and my single sentence. Yours literally (And I only use the word 'literally' when it's true) attacks people who support Apple, and apple itself, and mocks it as a gaming platform. (I still thought it was funny)
I'm not attacking you, I'm agreeing with Akvod. It is kind of annoying to see the front page, have 4 threads be "greatest character thread voting", 3 about the same subject, and 5 spam threads (spam threads are threads that encourage spamming like "say something about the person above you", "what is your job", "name X...and rate the one above", "What is the best Y")
And only like 3 good threads about sales and theories and predictions.
