Is it a bad idea to wear Crocs while building a comp?

Computers don't have a fashion sense, thankfully, and neither do I.
The only thing I like wearing to luxury locales more than Crocs are sweatpants.

Nope.
I wash and dry my hands prior and only hold components by their edges.
Never had an issue with anything.
If I'm doing something bigger like taking apart or putting a system together, yes.
If its something smaller, not as much, but I try to make sure I'm touching the case.
I never paid much attention to this stuff while putting mine together (I've built two)
I realized this was stupid after reading about it later... What exactly does static do to your parts? Any way to tell if you screwed up?
I just make sure to touch the chassis before I start touching boards.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I know of their existence, but never seen one in real life.
Real men don't use that. I do my builds with a six pack of beers by my side, cigarettes and some manly music (no, Metallica is not manly music)
I've built 3 pc's. Never used one. What I do use is either the case or PSU to discharge myself.
