Okay, first off, your sales figures are laughably misleading. You compare the first 2 months of PS2 sales with the first 7 months of the Gamecube. If you used the ACTUAL figures:

Gamecube after 6 months: 3.8 million.

Playstation 2 after 6 months: 10.6 million.

Second, don't make assumptions you can't back up to generate hard figures you can't verify to prove a point you can't support. That's 3rd-generation talking-out-of-your-rear.

And thirdly, I had to read a lot of dead space just to get to the end of this thing. Either organize your piece better or cut all the irrelevant junk out. This isn't how you write an opinion piece.

I agree with your point of views.. There´s a lot to be discussed, but I just want to say that it was a pleasant read and I will take another look carefully.
I just would like to make a correction: Is that number of 50k units of the WiiU sold on January accurate ? Seems weird, since the console has been selling an average 28k weekly worldwide

I see that most of the answers are based a lot more on hate or fanboyism than on a real balanced, honest opinion. That´s a shame
