I think the original Wii is one of Nintendo's best designed consoles.
The clean lines, vertical stand and blue light made for a charming look.

"We're going to re-release our last generation console, during the first 3 months of our next-generation console launch window, in an attempt to increase sales of our last generation console and offset the losses we're taking with our next-generation console." This decision is going to become like the worst meme in internet gaming history.... "We messed up so bad with wiiu, that we're going back to wii!" |
So Wii winning next-gen already confirmed? :)

the wiiu sales will be decreased due to the confusion with all those "wiis" LMAO! XD

I fail to see your point considering they went from ~22m GCN to ~100m Wii. |
I meant they lost the gamers the same way they lost the 3rd parties, that is to say in the second half of the gen (at first they had the 3rd parties on board). But true, it's only gonna be apparent in the next-gen.

Why would it do that? Lol. That is to say....How? Lol.
Btw, Jimmy Fallon did promote it as an "addon" I believe. So this is some consumer confusion overall.

Ok, I have no polite response to that. If you wish to believe people are that dumb, go right ahead. |
Can't really compare iPhone or iPad or iPod with Wii and Wii U. Apple products take on a life of their own and ride a global wave of constant hype and the mainstream press write about them every single day and they're covered from all angles, as well tech press, the sales and commotion around it is a phenomenon unlike anything else in consumer electronics. The mobile market, and by extension the tablet market, is a whole lot bigger than the console market.
Meanwhile, as far as hype, mainstream press coverage and actual advertising and promotion goes, the Wii U is a fart in the wind compared to smartphones and tablets.
You really can't see that this is a poor comparison?
I hate to say because I like the concept of the Wii mini -- but it's a piece of crap.
The regular Wii is far more sleek looking, has WiFi/online, can be stood up vertically, and isn't even that much bigger.

Yeah, the size difference really isn't dramatic, unless it's shorter in dimensions otehr tha depth. For the amount they've taken out, I thought it would be smaller.
OK so we're all in agreement that this is a pure attempt at snatching quick cash from people that don't know better and that it has very few reasons for anyone on this site (who should know better) to own one?
