nope, but you made a good point, all those games/apps sold more than 63k! I cant believe how wrong i was though b4 -_-

No worries, we had no scale by which to measure the game's sales except for VGChartz's heavily overtracked numbers.

That's why I want to make sure to make a note of this now -- in the future, we'll actually have a concrete number to compare other games to in the NA sales ranking.

PS do you ever sleep?

right now i am, hold down NintenDomination for me lol. See ya (btw take a look) http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/bestsellers/videogames/ref=zg_bs_pg_1?ie=UTF8&pg=1 Tomodachi is currently #6 already!

Am I correct in saying that people don't buy enough eShop games in general?

What shocks me the most is the fact that NSMB2 hasn't passed the 63000 mark.

Awaiting the Harmoknight release so we can see how well E-shop games do.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

NSMB2 has sold over a longer period of time than Fire Emblem on eShop.

Where are we getting information that Fire Emblem has already sold better than NSMB2, despite only being out for about a month? I thought best selling charts on eShop just meant on a weekly basis.

Still got another month left until Fire Emblem releases here. =( Glad it's doing well in NA digitally and via retail.

thats on default, you can change the option. NSMB2 used to be the 20th best selling Downloadable Title on eShop now Fire Emblem is currently #17 while NSMB2 isnt in the top 20. everything over 17 has 63k or higher!

Seems that way. I wonder if there's a really big dropoff somewhere, like if most of the other games are also under 100k, but the top game is over 500k or something. These games must be considerably less expensive to make if under 100k can still be successful enough to merit a sequel.

I read somewhere that Mutant Mudds made back its development cost, and based on what I'm seeing here, that game probably sold in the 30-40K range in North America.

And Mutant Mudds 2 is on the way, so the devs must have been pleased with its sales.

I think they'll be disappointed, though. If Crashmo is any indication, the eShop seems to reward new games more than sequels.

Which also doesn't bode well for The Last Ranger.
