Yeah, it was also better at displaying large amounts of preredered data. It also had more software variety. On the other hand, the N64 had better in-game graphics, a far better analog stick, short load times and more games of classic quality.

The actual point of this thread is to point to a failed business decision by Nintendo, and a successful one by Sony. Whether it's one or the other matters little to me, I care about the history of it, and the accuracy of our perception of what actually happened is paramount to me.
