I agree with Veknoid here, I'm 23 and I still play Mario Kart and F-Zero.

Nintendo's always been a less competetive system, that's why there are no achievements/trophy's. You can pick up most Nintendo games, play it for X period of time, and put it down. There are a few excellent serious games on Nintendo consoles, typically RPG's, but even with Zelda, anyone can pick up the game and play.

A PGR style arcade game kind of suites Nintendo better then a SIM. Do you have to be a kid to like PGR? I think most people who don't obsess over video games like we do would find that a PGR esk game would be a great first adventure into racing games with real cars. After all, I think most people who play racing games are casual gamers because you can pick up the game, play for X many races, and still have a blast, or just race various cars head to head.

P.S. Wow, really, the average gamer is 37? That sounds a bit old, to be 37 that would mean the average gamer was 10 in 1986, when Video games just started to explode. Are you saying that gaming has attracted that many people from before the gaming boom to offset all the kids being born and growing up playing games?

I am not talking about you, because you make up a minority of gamers. Possibly the majority of early adopters were children and hardcore Nintendo fans. Lets see how Nintendo gets the attention of adults in the family. Nintendo knows they rarely will disappoint their hardcore, they just need to keep being themselves.

Well let's agree to disagree. I think an arcade style game will appeal to adults who also like Nintendo more then a full pledge sim.

You know videogame history, Nintendo was never the arcade console and was never considered such until KI. In fact the PC and arcade community at the time looked down upon consoles, but mostly Nintendo. Nintendo had Mortal Kombat but they took the blood out of that game a gimped the games SNES sales so the little kiddies wont get nightmares so everyone bought it on Sega. Sega was the true passable arcade console for the arcade hobbyist who wanted the arcade experience at home.  Sega has ported many of their most popular arcade classics up past the 32X to the Dreamcast. Sony carried on that legacy publishing Tekken and gathering Time Crisis and numerous other arcade titles. Sony and Microsoft ushered in the death of the arcade market in the US.

Why do Nintendo fans act like Nintendo serves the same crowd as Microsoft and Sony?

Thats a good one, kind of reminds me of the games I played when I was a kid.

I think they should flesh out the Star Fox Franchise, make it more arcadey. I like 64, they should really expand upon that premise.

As far as a new IP, I think the door is wide open for them to make a FPS. Get Retro to do a unique FPS. It's a genre that Nintendo hasn't even touched, and it obviously is a popular one. Retro made FPS could be really good.

I don't really want that though, I'd be more than happy with Metroid Prime 4.

The best selling metroid have sold two millions. Is that enough to break even if they make a metroid prime game with wii u grapics?

Didn't you disagree with me when I voted against a hardcore sim?

Which would you prefer a SIM to compete against Forza/GT, or something less serious to compete with PGR and whatever Sony makes?

If Sony and MS killed the Arcade, where Sega tried to preserve it, maybe Nintendo should try to aquire more arcade style games to attract....older gamers. Not just an Arcade Style Racer, by maybe a Silent Scope game, or a fighter. Wii had a couple Arcade style games, they did moderatly well, why not continue downthis avenue?

I recently played Splinter Cell. It was awesome. I would buy a game similar to it if Nintendo made it. :)
