Reasons why I think so.

1.Lack of primary colors. Brown and silver.

2.Restricted movement, short jumps and slow running. Kids love their freedom of movement.

3.Reward mechanism. Bubbles vs Coins.

4.Mario has supreme sensory overload with many sounds things colors flying around at once. LBP doesn't really.

Gonna elaborate later. Time for dinner.

5. He's slightly terrifying.

6. Not enough guns. That's what kids like nowadays.

I have to agree. Primary Colors is what get's the kids (younger than 10) going these days. If they are older then I would think Sackboy would fit perfectly with them. Especially since he has no Primary Colors.

I would also like to point out that bubbles are just as cool as coins.

He kind of fills the adult child role, as in older folk can look at him and go "ha, aint he adorable". Though if I was 6, well you need a shit load of sparkle and colour. Just look at Goosebump book covers. They were amazing:

Ditto. Sackboy just creeps me out. To me he looks like a voodoo doll (which isn't a bad thing since I like magic/witchcraft, even though I'm Catholic), but has more of a creepy appeal. Plus the LittleBig Planet games are just weird and don't make any sense (other than creating your own levels). The art design is okay, I just don't like how they market the "realism." Pokemon is more appealing to him.
