I disagree. I think Mario is just shoved into kids faces.

Ditto. Sackboy just creeps me out. To me he looks like a voodoo doll (which isn't a bad thing since I like magic/witchcraft, even though I'm Catholic), but has more of a creepy appeal. I think it does a bad job, but for different reasons. Kids nowadays want to prove themselves as adults, so they only buy games with blood and gore, meaning that the type of main character that appeals to them are musuclar and violent humans or Kratos.

Well, you know, Mario is also hideous, so it doesn't really matter. He's Ron Jeremy, for cat's sake. You guys really want Ron Jeremy entertaining your kids? He's always a jazzy intro from slipping out of those overalls.

Who wants to play a video-game as Ron Jeremy?* At least sackboy isn't going to sexually assault any stray wildlife.
