I love Sackboy, he is such an awesome character. Honestly I have no idea if kids like him or not.

Wait a minute Sackboy can become Mario or any other kid friendly mascot so this is actually an impossible statement to back up!

Older Mario games weren't that cute/colourful. Compare SMB3 to Kirby of the time.

No problem, man.  It's what I do.

On a related note, my niece said sackboy was cute.  Well, actually, she said "that videogame with the little brown guy, he's cute", so she was either talking about LBP or Nintendo's Diff'rent Strokes U--though I hear the PS3/360 port is a lot better since you get to play as Dana Plato.

I wasn't even looking so it slip by. Had other priorities back then, getting dat PS3 $599 price tag down, improving PSN, etc. Rough times, let's see the future, our revenge is shaping up nicely.

Gotta go soon but, does anyone think Sony should put him upfront with all their other stuff? Kinda like what Nintendo does with Mario.

I feel that Sony isn't trying to make Sackboy the mascot, so it's kinda hard to compare him to Mario. Anyone think if Sony went out of their way to make Sackboy the mascot, he would become much more popular? People might actually start to recognize a character as a "Sony character"?
