NoA really seem to think the American Nintendo audience dont want JRPGs. Its that simple.

Im glad I have my preorder over here. Day 1.

This game is not a JRPG. It's a strategy game with RPG elements. :P

I always considered it a Strategy RPG. Since it's also Japanese, it's fair to call it a JRPG too.

I think Nintendo just doesn't care. Nintendo doesn't put in the research into smaller niche Japanese RPG's to see if they will sell because they are focused on making Mario and Zelda push systems.

It's sad though because XenoBlade Chronicles could have easily pushed 1 million units too if it were released in 2009, like it was in Japan, or even as a 2010 title. The Last Story could have also done significantly better, and kept the Wii relevant for longer.

NoA doesn't seem to think we want anything to do with anything that they have to offer.

Not sure if its sold out around me, I ended up downloading mine from the eShop.

I think its just typical Nintendo behavior, under-shipping games that usually don't bring in big numbers.

I preordered the game at my EBgames, and they by mystake sold my copy and then were sold out. I was pretty upset to they called every EBgames in town to see if they could find me a copy at a other store, all but 1 were sold out. Only one store had 1 last copy left wich they reserved for me. So yes, atleast I can confirm you that all EBgames in my town (Laval,Quebec) were sold out.

What?! I can't hear you over all this awsome! - Pyrrhon (Kid Icarus:Uprising)

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)

Pre-order mine to get the artbook. Played for a few hours last night and enjoy it a lot. Just kind of disappointed in the over battlefield visuals.

It would help them a whole lot with the market that theyre wanting. Theyre clearly trying to hit the sweet spot with the core audience... Its games like Fire Emblem that will bring them in.

Xenoblade could have been pretty big had they released it early and kept it in stock, kinda like how Sony did with Demon's Souls in America. Its a shame really that they ignore the smaller games, but pile constant marketting on Mario. If Xenoblade got 5% of the marketting buget that NSMB2 got, then the game would have been an easy Million seller.

Pfffft, its a SJRPG!

pre-ordered the game at Best Buy and they were unable to fill it. I guess I'll look for it after my move. I don't want to do any online purchases right now.

The gamestop near my house hasn't even gotten the preorders in yet. Shipment error and all that.

Sold out out at Walmart, Target, and GS.  Though all got limited supply.  Glad I just stuck with digital.

Fire Emblem will bring in hardcore gamers, especially those tho went to PSP last gen (which is known for some great SRPG's).

However Nintendo isn't really making an effort to advertize or push the game. However I am happy that the Fire Emblem 3DS bundle is being localized here, I just wish they made a 3DS XL bundle. Japan didn't have a 3DS XL bundle because Fire Emblem came out before the XL released. Had the XL been released, there would have been an XL bundle, as I think the core gamers probably prefer an XL 3DS.

NoA isn't as good as NoJ in pushing for RPG's, NoJ makes so many special edition systems. NoA sometimes imports them, but rarely makes a unique to Americas edition, or bundle.

As for XenoBlade, it could have been big for a lot of reasons. It was discontinued at EB games before the holidays. I think the Holidays alone, with some marketing, and maybe a bundle, could have pushed sales well over 1 million globally.
