What? Are you serious? The PC is THE platforms for adventure games. Maniac Mansion, Day of the tentacle, the "Monkey Island" games, the golden age of LucasArts adventures in the 90s, like 90% of all adventures in the last 10 years...

If you played any adventures at all in the last 20 years chances are pretty damn high you did on a PC.

maybe he confused it with action-adventure

Oh well, an adventure should be played on a PC anyways...

WHAT? Ok, you're from US and only 27. I let that slip. But Point&Click-adventures aren't called point&click without a reason - they were using the mouse as main input in the golden times of LucasArts and Sierra adventures. A lot of gamers grew up with that. And talking about the golden times of adventures: Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert are basically the golden times of adventures in person.

I think he might've confused meanings of Adventure when talking about computer games and Adventure when talking about console games - back in days when you said Adventure, and you were primarily computer player (or journalist), you meant either Text or P&C Adventure (personally, I started as a kid on C64 with Hobbit in '82). On the other hand, if you were console oriented you were most likely talking about games that were, by todays clasification, action-adventures.

As Daniel Bloodworth recently said in IW, Cave is for instance game that's good in mixing Adventure and Adventure (that is, both meanings of the term).
